European Huawei Mate 9 variants (MHA-L09 & MHA-L29) have received a new B156 firmware update based on Nougat that comes with several bug-fixes and new feature updates including a new x10 zoom option in the camera.

* Important:
Backup important files stored on your device before proceeding with the steps below, so that in case something goes wrong you’ll have backup of all your important files.
÷ How to Update Huawei Mate 9 (MHA-L09 & MHA-L29) to Nougat 7.0 B156 Firmware:
1- Download the update.zip and update_full_hw_eu.zip files from the aforementioned links.
2- Create a new folder named “dload” in the external microSD card of your device.
3- Next, extract the downloaded update.zip package and copy the UPDATE.APP file to the newly-created dload folder.
4- Take a full backup of all your important data and turn your phone off.
5- Now hold Volume up + Volume down + Power for a few seconds to start the installation.
6- In case the software version in Settings > About Phone does not reflect the new updated version, follow the steps below otherwise you’re good to go!
»EU Cust Installation:
1- Once the installation completes and your device starts up, remove the UPDATE.APP file from its dload folder.
2- Now extract the update_full_hw_eu.zip package you downloaded in the first step and copy its UPDATE.APP file to the same dload folder (it shouldn’t contain any other file).
3- Finally install this file using the exact same method (Steps 4-5).
That’s it! Your Huawei Mate 9 should now have Android 7.0 Nougat B156 Firmware on your phone! Go to Settings > About phone to verify.
